How to Apply for FCPS Part 1 Online

Eligibility Requirements

Before applying, ensure you meet all the following requirements set by CPSP.

  • MBBS or BDS Degree (or equivalent qualification) registered with Pakistan Medical & Dental Council. BDS is only eligible for FCPS-I in Dentistry.

  • Valid PMDC/PMC Registration Certificate (duly attested) or renewal receipt along with your provisional PMDC registration certificate.
  • If you don't have your degree yet — you can still apply by uploading your MBBS transcript (the page that shows all final year marks).
  • If you don't have permanent PMDC — you can apply on provisional PMDC license.
  • CNIC — Valid Computerized National Identity Card.
  • Passport-size Photographs — Recent, with white background.
For International Students: Graduates from recognized foreign medical institutions can also apply. They need valid registration certificate of their own country's medical council, equated by PMDC. Check CPSP website for country-specific requirements.

Important Tips & Common Mistakes

  • Apply early — Don't wait until the last date. Server traffic increases near deadlines and you may face issues.
  • Use a valid email — All communication from CPSP will be sent to the email you provide. Make sure it's active and check your spam folder.
  • Double-check subject & exam center — Changing these after submission is extremely difficult and sometimes impossible.
  • Keep copies — Save digital and printed copies of your application form, fee challan, and roll number slip.
  • House job relaxation — CPSP has relaxed the house job completion requirement in recent exams (1 month gap is no longer necessary), but verify the current policy on the CPSP website.
  • Original documents don't need attestation — Only attested photocopies need attestation. If uploading originals, you can skip attestation.
  • Online payment available — You can now pay via debit card or credit card directly on the CPSP portal.
  • Check exam dates — FCPS Part 1 exams are held multiple times a year. Check the CPSP website for the latest schedule.
